Looking for more Pool Consultants / Pool Inspectors
Posted on Tuesday, June 24 2008 @ 03:01:55 EDT
Topic: Subcontractors
SubcontractorsBy and far the most sought after sub from the AZ readers of this website has been Mike, my layout guy. And its not just because he provides fantastic layout services. He also acts as a pool consultant who is willing to come on site and provide workmanship and quality inspections for each sub's work for a reasonable fee. This is a service that many home owners have many AZ O/Bs have come to depend upon to insure that the quality of a subcontractor's work is up to par.

I've received email from many of you asking me, "Do you know of someone like Mike in my state?" After I received the 3rd or 4th email, I decided to do a little research to find these people. So far, I've found pool consultants in AZ, CA, and TX. I've started a new category of subs in the "Other Subcontactors" area named "Pool Consultants / Quality Inspections". There you will find Mike's information and people like Mike in other states. But so far there's only a handful of people who fit the bill. I need more.

I'm sure there are a lot more of you out there who would qualify as experienced pool consultants. So I'm making a call out to you people. I'm looking for people who have:

  1. Spent signficant time in the pool construction industry
  2. Who have a solid understanding of each of the various trades involved in the total pool construction project
  3. Who are willing to work with owner/builders
  4. Can provide a broad set of services that ranges from project oversight to on-site spot workmanship/quality inspections.
  5. Can do so at a reasonable price.
If you fit that bill, I'd love to hear from you. You can contact me at: ben@howibuiltmyownpool.com. I'd like to follow-up by having a short conversation with you to hear about your experiences. If you qualify, I'd like to include you in this new category of subs that will benefit my readers in a big way. And if your story is exceptional, I might even write up a story about you.

And what do you get? Well, for starters, I've got over 8000 people currently signed up on this site who are intrigued in some fashion about this BYOP thing. And chances are good there are a few from your city looking for services that you can specifically provide to them. So get in touch with me and let me know what you can do for them. Believe me, they will want to get in touch with you! Its a win-win situation.
